PlayTVi is a digital signage digital signage (indoor media) platform: you manage over the internet what appears on your business screens — videos, graphics, menus, promotions, news, weather and exchange rates — from a single dashboard, without having to visit each TV.
It works just as well for a single screen at reception as for a network of dozens of stores.
You create your account without entering a credit card and use the full platform for 7 days, with access to all automatic content and the design editor. If you don't continue, the account simply expires with no charge.
It takes a few minutes. You create the screen in the dashboard, it generates an activation code, you type that code into the app installed on the TV, and the screen shows up in your account right away. No technician visit or fixed IP needed.
No. You do the whole activation yourself, using the activation code the dashboard generates and you type into the TV app. Anyone who can plug a device into a TV and connect it to Wi-Fi can install it alone, and our support team will walk you through it on WhatsApp if you need help.
No. PlayTVi runs on the equipment you already have or buy wherever you prefer: Android TV Box, Smart TV with Android, mini PC or Windows laptop. Just install our app, which is free.
A TV Box with Android 9 or higher, 2 GB of memory and an HDMI output runs well.
A warning worth money: be wary of very cheap devices that advertise an Android version that isn't the real one. It's common in the market, and the symptom shows up later — video that stutters or freezes the whole screen. For screens with heavy videos or a video wall, a Windows mini PC is usually more stable.
It works on Smart TVs running Android TV, where the app can be installed directly. On TVs with the manufacturer's own system (such as Samsung's Tizen or LG's webOS), you need a TV Box or mini PC connected to the HDMI input.
Yes. There is a Windows player with the same features as the Android version: scheduling, layouts, automatic content and remote updates. It's the preferred option when the screen shows long videos, high-resolution content or a video wall.
A regular broadband connection is enough. The player downloads the content only once and then plays it from the device's memory, so ongoing data usage is low.
Unstable connections work too: downloads resume where they left off instead of starting over — it was one of the areas we worked on most in the player.
It doesn't go blank. The player downloads all the content to the device's memory and keeps playing normally even without internet. The connection is only needed to receive updates and for live content, such as news and exchange rates.
No. You set the operating hours for each screen, and outside those hours the player goes to sleep. The system also detects when the TV is turned off and avoids logging it as a failure, so your monitoring isn't cluttered with closed-store alarms.
No. design editor is built into the dashboard, with ready-made templates by industry — just swap the text, the photo and the price. You can also upload images and videos you already have.
Videos in MP4 and images in JPG e PNG. Videos are automatically optimized on upload to reduce file size without visible quality loss — which saves bandwidth and space on the device.
Photos taken on an iPhone may come as HEIC or MOV; if so, convert them before uploading.
Yes. The player works in landscape and portrait, and the automatic content has its own versions for each orientation — it's not the landscape version squeezed in.
Yes, with layouts. You build the screen from independent regions — for example, video taking up most of the space, a news ticker along the bottom and a clock with the weather forecast in the corner — and each region has its own schedule.
Yes, and it's the feature that impresses people most the first time they see it: content that updates on its own, with no one touching it. News, weather forecasts, USD and EUR exchange rates, air quality, Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana standings, and a holiday calendar.
Want to see it before subscribing? The PlayTVi Portal shows live, in your browser, exactly the same content that runs on the screens.
Yes, you can embed a YouTube video inside a layout.
For the screen's main content, however, we recommend uploading the video file: it's stored on the device and keeps playing even if the internet drops, which doesn't happen with video streamed over the internet.
Yes. There is a feature that brings your profile's posts to the screen automatically, keeping the content fresh with no manual work. It's enabled per account — contact support to activate it.
Yes. Each media item can have a start and end date and time slots, so the lunch menu appears only at lunchtime and the weekend promotion goes on and off by itself, with no one having to remember to take it down on Monday.
A video wall uses several TVs side by side as if they were a single screen, with the image spanning across them. In the dashboard you define the grid (for example 2×2) and the system prepares the content cropped for each position.
Music: yes. You upload audio tracks and they play in the background while graphics and videos run on screen.
Text banner: it's the ticker. It's useful for a quick message, the daily notice or a highlighted price, and it can be changed from the dashboard without touching the rest of the schedule.
Yes. You organize your screens into groups and publish to the whole group with one click — the new promotion goes live in all 30 stores at the same time.
Yes, with sub-users. You define which screens and which media folders each person can see, and they can't see the screens of other locations or the account's billing section.
Yes. Screens placed in a sync group change content together, which is what you'd expect when they're side by side on the same wall.
Through the playback report: the dashboard records what played, on which screen and how many times, with PDF and CSV export. It's the document you hand to the advertiser who paid for the space.
Yes. The dashboard shows which screens are online and lets you request a capture of what is being displayed at that moment, as well as adjust volume and brightness remotely.
Plans start at $7.90 per screen per month. The price per screen drops with quantity, and large or white-label deployments are quoted case by case.
No. Billing is monthly per screen, with no long-term contract and no installation fee. You can add or remove screens whenever you want and cancel at any time.
Billing is monthly, per active screen, and you receive the invoice by email with the option to pay by card. A reminder is sent before the due date and there are a few days of grace before any suspension — nobody ends up with a blank screen because of an invoice that expired yesterday.
Yes. On the Ultimate plan we offer white-label: a dashboard on your own domain, with your logo and colors, and an Android app published under your company's name. Your end customer never sees the PlayTVi brand.
